About the Author

Robert Sanderson is the author of the novel Money Boss – that a Kirkus reviewer termed “A bleak and damming story of government neglect of indigenous communities – and co-author of When Freedom is Lost: The Dark Side of the Relationship Between Government and the Fort Hope Band.

Robert was inspired to write Destroying Max by his own experiences growing up in Montreal and specifically the time his father spent as a patient in the Allan Memorial Institute. Through his books, he hopes to inspire conversations around the importance of keeping those in authority accountable to those they are obligated to serve.
